I love, love, LOVE this episode! It's so beautiful, the symbolism of the sun and the moon (great commentary on that!) and the idea of Conrart's finding his new path. *melts into a puddle of happy goo*
I've always thought it amazing that Julia entrusted her soul to Conrart, probably realizing it would be what it would take to save him. She really is an incredible character, and such a great backstory/basis for Yuuri. It makes Yuuri's character and his actions/ideals all the more lovely, and yet all the more painful for everyone around him.
I'd LOVE to see that fic. OMG. <3
Also? There were a few side relationships shown here that I really love: Josak and Conrart, first, with Josak expressing his manly caring for Conrart's well-being *dead*.
Wolfram and Greta are also SO CUTE~! I love how Wolfram accepts her so readily, and not only superficially - he's seriously her father! It's so adorable I could die. <3
Fantastic job with the episode! Thanks for the added yumminess of the sun/moon symbolism although you're plunnying me.... XD
Thank you! All the sun and the moon stuff I ended up adding in because I didn't feel as if I'd done as good of a job with my thoughts as I could have... and after losing my original post when my computer broke, I'd forgotten a lot of what I'd written before, so I decided just to have some fun with it. :D It amused my while I was doing it, at least.
From what little of Julia that was seen in episodes prior to this, I wasn't sure I liked her all that much, but in this one, though she wasn't shown a lot, I started to like her a little more. I like that she entrusted her soul to Conrad, though it makes Adalbert's situation all the sadder to me, since Conrad found some closure, while Adalbert was left to his anger, resentment, and hatred. She made the right choice, though, which I'm sure she knew going into the whole thing.
XD Haha! The fic is probably going to have to wait, at least for the time being. Doing this episode has increased my desire to write something like that, though. Maybe I'll have some extra time during the summer....
Yozak is so amazing, and that little scene between he and Conrad is something I forgot to mention, but I loved it. Even though he wasn't talking about himself specifically, it seems obvious that he was including himself in those "people" he was referring to.
Wolfram and Greta's relationship is truly precious. He takes care of her so well, despite his previous prejudices towards humans, and you can tell he enjoys spending time with her. I often think it's odd for someone like him to be so good with children, at yet at the same time that ability seems to suit him well. :)
