Fairy tales are rather brutal and scary. I love them for that.

Your bearbees are cute. I like how they look more like bees than bears - which is different from the anime. Crayons are hard to work with, but they have an interesting effect.

Yeah, they are. I mean, even the famous and often-used tales are kind of gory if you think of it, but during my lectures of our Brother Grimm complete edition as a child I learned that there are a lot of not-so-famous fairy tales that are actually a lot darker and gorier, like the two mentioned in my entry.

Ah, yes, I realize that now. Their limbs are longer in the anime and they have another colour. That happens when you draw from memory!

I love artists who really know how to use crayons, like Tokala. I cry everytime I see one of her pictures, tears of admiration as well as jealousy. How does she do it ...? ;___;

Thanks for your comment =D

I remember that story! Maybe the version I read didn't feature baby eating, or it was a kid-friendly version, but I remember liking it.

Anyway, I like this! Not many people use crayon anymore, but it gives a lovely effect. =)

Thanks for your comment! :)

I don't know. Maybe I'm just imagining things. *laughs*

I find it very difficult to use crayons properly. I just wanted to try it again, but I think I'm going back to watercolours.

Awww, that's really sweet! The bearbees are so cute~

I love that story, though I've not read the original - only Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest which is based upon the same tale.
