kkm_caption closing down

Week commencing the 29th of August will be the last week I hold a competition before I'll be closing kkm_caption for good. Due to personal circumstances (namely taking a degree in photography and an AS Level in Japanese) I'm not going to have time to mod this comm or pretty much do anything online any more.

Aw man. This is one of the few comms that still ties me to the fandom. Would it be alright if you left it open? As in not actually closing the comm down with strikethroughs, account canceling and everything? For users who'd like to backtrack through older entries like me. :)

But thanks you guys. Every mem in the comm. You guys made my KKM experience sooo worth it and amazing. I met a lot of new friends here and every week's LuLz was something I looked forward to. Thanks thanks for the awesome experience. :D

It was huge huge fun while it lasted.

...and I'm talking like there isn't any 4 more weeks before closing. /shot

Ah, yes good point. In that case the comm will remain here yes, but there will no longer be any posts, so you can still look back through it :)

Thanks for keeping it going for so long. I didn't caption much but I read the captions and voted every week. I'll miss this comm! And good luck with school!

Maybe someone will take it over one day?

Perhaps, but i'd need to send them my humongous folder of screencaps to use lol

I really enjoyed myself in this comm, so I'm sad that it's closing but I'm glad to be able to join this comm!! =DD

PS is it possible to keep the comm open? So that we can look at past entries? I find it very interesting to look at other people's captions for the various screencaps =)

I'll be keeping the comm open yes, there just won't be any more posts in it :)
