Sunday:
After some struggling and hesitation, I went to the dojo in the morning, but that was pretty much all I had in me. I spent the afternoon making bread with the starter and grilling up a batch of naleskniki. Both turned out great. After dinner, we watched The Walking Dead. It was okay.
Monday:
There was so much loose political mail that we were all held up until 12:30 - 1pm as the clerks sorted it. Supe ordered several of us to take lunch, under the mistaken assumption that we took lunch at all, believing that would therefore save us a half hour on the street. *snort* Quite naturally it just put us further behind. And it was boring.
I started calling in around 4pm, when I was able to judge when I would finish (6:45 - 7pm) but could get an answer until 5:50pm. I did receive some help but I still didn't leave the office parking lot until 7:20 pm. You can guess where I went after that.
I was too late to do more than half the second class, but I was able to stay and do some individual practice. More importantly, I was able to give a loaf of bread to the fellow student who gave me the starter. I walked in the locker room and her mouth was full of bread. She looked like a pigeon that had picked up a french fry or something.
Tuesday:
I got up early so I could swing by the poll and vote, which was quick and painless. From there to work, which turned out to be a curious eight hour day. Having finished on time for a change, I went.... You know where I went.
First I did escrima which involved jumping, catching sticks and doing rolls before catching another stick, running around waving sticks, being mock-stabbed and was mostly amusing. Then I did one aikido class and sat out most the second before staying to do some individual practice with another student and her sempai.
