RGW: Chapter 9
Ha! I've completed the retroactive chapter 9. I think this chapter works very well as an excerpt. Since general disinterest has never stopped me from posting something, here it is:
Working title: Chicken Coop. In this part of the story, set in 2345, Tasha has gotten herself tossed in holding over what appears to be a genuine escape attempt. Only it wasn't. We discover that Colonel Soronar is a petty jackass, Major Echael takes her job very seriously and doesn't appreciate conflicting orders, Tasha enjoys math but maybe not more than waffles, and General Volskiar doesn't like Fleet Commander Tal any more than he does Commander Charvanek. Volskiar takes Tasha for a walk to his house, gets huffy when she persistently believes he intends to rape her, and then they have tea and she wants to know if she's worth more or less than a Reman slave. Facepalm, FTW.
As you can see, I take my absurdity quite seriously. But if anyone should happen to read it and notice any issues I ought to fix, feel free to tell me. *trundles off to work on Part 14*
