While Ricardo and co. continue to be drunk, and he later cuts a secret deal with Foreman, Ursula shags the navy captain escorting them back to San Fernando. Sofia makes small talk and rolls her eyes at Ursula's flailing about. Alberto heads out with the Dandy Highwaymen, to rob a caravan, but it's a trap! Soldiers come pouring out of the woods and attack. Devildude and Jerrycurl!dude both get it. Devildude, slashed across the gut, appeals to Alberto for help, but the bastard runs him through. But then, a young soldier axes him in the back of the knee, and his loyal highwaymen carry him off. When he gets back home, the doctor explains he must lose the leg or lose his life. The nervous cleric rushes to tell Jorge. Santiago attempts to accompany his father, but is forced to stay behind with Escanio (Will Turner guy). Escanio, the new Police Inspector (replacing Alberto), shows his friend various papers incriminating the Dandy Highwaymen, under Jorge's direction. Santiago rails against this seemingly betrayal and his father shrugs it off, explaining that's just how business is done. He wants to know if Ricardo was involved, but Escanio said he was off in Isla de Carolina. Meanwhile, the captain escorting Sofia and co back has Ricardo's pardon, which he tries to give to his superior, but its given back to him.... Out at sea, Ricardo's ship comes upon a trio of navy ships and engages in battle, that they are soon losing. He orders his men to abandon ship and prepares it as a fire ship.
