Birds of Prey #115 - Oh noes! Killer Shark has drugged Helena's new ace pilot girlfriend from the past! And forced her to wear a hideous costume! This being online fandom, I can't be the only one who spent most the issue going, "Gay... gay... phallic eels, gay gay gay... something about Black Alice, back to super gay.... cpr symbolism... GAY." That would be my, um, erudite opinion of BoP.
X-Men & X-Factor #Whatever Parts of a Crossover - There's some sort of baby and some sort of alternate future blah blah blah blah, whatever. But, on the upside, Rogue is really badass, though also pwned by mommy dearest. *sighs* I hope we get to see more shenanigans between those three. Remy being the third, but mercifully, not forced to fill the role of macho lead, which was always an ill fit for him. (That's Rogue). Boy, are these covers hideous, or what? Meanwhile, X-Factor plots manage to continue in proper X-Factor style, which is to say, satisfying and curious.
Immortal Iron Fist Something Blah Blah Blah #1 - Was okay, mostly for the evil lesbian cowgirls, or whatever they were, because that was funny, but was otherwise cute. The last few pages provided actual story relating to the current arc in the book proper.
Painkiller Jane #5 - Is apparently in a crossover with Terminator, but the plot manages to sidestep that problem. I gather there was a fight in the respective book, and then Jane/Maureen went from subtext to text. Lolz.
*Also, patiently waiting for some bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, well-intentioned PotC fan to make that Jack/Elizabeth/Will icon. (If he or she hasn't, already).
