Have the humans yet paused to ask where the Cylons must have been hanging out for umpteen years formulating their plans and "evolving"? Or do they blindly assume that the destruction of the colonies was merely a hate crime, rather than part of a larger plan to herd the remaining humans back to Earth?
The Earth where the humans left behind by the original colonists no doubt turned to cyber-technology to survive. The Cylon Homeworld, as it were, where the android Cylons discovered the Human Cyborgs and they united and schemed to force remaining humanity back into its evolutionary fold. This is a function of their belief in unity, one-ness (as represented by a single god) whereas the colonists represent multiple paths of evolution.
