Had a lovely little chat with
paultynan this afternoon.  He seems to be enjoying Amsterdam.  Boy, do I miss that kid.  Hopefully I can find a place to crash for commencement week so I can see him.  Too bad I missed that whole applying for a job deadline thing.  If worse comes to worse I can just stay at my aunt's house in Westlake and come back to Oberlin to party at night.  We shall see.  There's also a possibility that I might be here for the summer, too.  I just applied for a job at the Lorain County Free Clinic.  I'm not sure exactly what the hours or the pay would be yet--I'm supposed to call them tomorrow to set up an interview.  But it would be great for my resume (even though I think the job itself consists mostly of data entry-type stuff), and being in Oberlin for the summer might be fun, assuming there are enough other people around.  Erin and Paul, you're going to be here, right?  My mom tried to discourage me because she wants me to come home, but I don't know.  It's a tough call.  Of course, this is assuming they actually offer it to me and the pay is better than the cave, and then I'll have to find a place to live.  What do you guys think?

I still only have 15 1/2 pages of my 20-25 page paper done, which I planned to finish tonight.  However, this afternoon I got an e-mail saying that class tomorrow is canceled, which, needless to say, kind of killed most of my motivation.  I have gone to the gym the past two days though.  Today I ran 1.25 miles, .8 of it all at once.  I want to try to get up to 3...if I run 5 days a week and add .05 miles every time, that should take what, like, 9 weeks?   That's probably optimistic.  I feel so pathetic that I can't even run a mile without walking some in between, but I've made hella progress.  At the beginning of the semester I could barely run .4 miles.  Anyway, I swear I'll finish the paper tomorrow.  It'll probably only take about 2 hours of solid work.  AND instead of waking up at 7:30 tomorrow, I get to sleep til 10:30.  Woohoo!
