(no subject)
So my break was a ton of fun, but also crazy, and it kind of threw me for a loop. I'm having trouble concentrating in class because I keep replaying the whole thing and wishing I were still there. I think I'll try to finagle a trip on my way home from San Diego, hopefully for my birthday. At this point I'd rather be anywhere but Oberlin. Not that I'm unhappy, at all. I'm just so ready to be out of here. Though as soon as I am I'm sure I'll miss it terribly. I'm going home in 3 weeks, so I just have to get through 2 10-page papers, an 8-pager, an in-class philosophy final, a take-home (and maybe also a paper), a quiz (due Friday--eek!) and a group presentation for social research methods. I seem to have pretty much time to accomplish all of this, so I'm not too stressed. It'll likely suck, but I know somehow it'll get done.
Oh, so I guess I haven't mentioned here that I got an internship in San Diego! for winter term. I'll be shadowing doctors and probably also working on a project of my choice at a community clinic. I'm staying with one of the doctors, right downtown in what Ryan says is a very nice part of town. I'm soooo excited! No Ohio January for me :).
