unpacking... cant throw things away... donation solution?

unpacking and finding things to sell...
at first its easy to unpack but as you unpack more and more you start to get really lazy and theres just so much to unpack and i dont know where to put half of them. after the first move, some things just never finished getting unpacked. and where do i get half of these new things that are taking up space, for the place i put the older stuff. :x
but also i am having this desire to hoard boxes and packing materials. i literally have a closet of stuff for packing and shipping things. / xmas gift wrapping materials. you never know when you might need something. and every time i need something it always seems to be the one bit that I don't have on hand. blahh
i just gotta get rid of more stuff? or i dont know. i cant access some parts of my room, due to rapidly moving the wall of boxes in the living room into my room to just get it "magically out of the way" for when ruby's mom would come and i wanted to make it look like i had made progress. but that pretty much blocks off my closet. D: do i redrag out the boxes for now?
how do i downsize some of my stuff. D: the number one problem ive had since ive been alive for the past quarter of a century.

this getting rid of stuff and downsizing is hard when most of my stuff is hoarded school supplies... especially hard since ive gone from finishing my grad school in 2014 to now it being 2015... maybe i should bring more supplies to the lab for general use. but how many highlighters can the lab use?! the world is all digital now. :( and things like little pencil boxes.. sigh. random mix and match bits that aren't full enough to donate to wayland for a class set or something random.
i swear this solution of getting rid of stuff by bringing it to the lab is not exactly the best solution. ive already slowly brought over things like plastic forks and spoons and plates etc. and i swear we dont have that many people in the lab and now we should have enough forks to last for the next 5 years.. but really downsizing is hard. i cant get myself to throw away anything. a lot of it is - ok maybe i can donate this. i hope it goes to a good home. i dont like throwing anything away so this compromise of good will or the lab... :x three bags of thing to take to goodwill and two are huge trash bag sizes... def need to do a woodland trip this weekend. just to get the bags out of the way.
