Birthdays, et. al.

Thanksgiving was great, with all the kids at home and my grandson, too! Sorry, prettyfun, but the potatoes were whipped, with not a lump in them! I think of you everytime I make potatoes, though. Erek has been with us since then, but his dad will be picking him up this evening. It has been great having the little guy around, although he is 7 going on 30, so is not so little anymore.

We took kashim687 back to school yesterday, so annieamaryllis was in charge of Erek here. I think he kept her on her toes. We all went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday on Friday (except kashim687 who was out with friends) and it was very nice. They were playing "Christmas in Killarney" on the music there while we got food, but ruuster says that is not really an Irish song, which does not surprise me.

It is nice that ruuster and reezlebee will be getting their own place soon. I am excited for them as they deserve their own place after living with parents for so long. I am glad they will be nearby, though.

Today (my actual birthday), I am just kicking back and relaxing, at the moment on the computer updating my blog, which has gone too long fallow.

Tomorrow I will being the final evaluation of my Parkland student. It has been such a joy to have her, and I will miss her a lot when she is gone. That, and I will have to carry all my own stuff again :~P.
