beirut/beerpong and fire alarms
Lets see. Last night, me and three friends watched American Beauty, although this was earlier in the evening. We then basically sat around and talked about all kinds of stuff. One thing to note is that all of the girls on this side are all like environmental majors (inc prevet, env. sci, env. studies, wildlife bio, etc.) and the guys are in the arts school. So we talked a lot about animal rights. Yeah. Meanwhile the guys two doors down set up a beiru (also known as beerpong table). In case you don't know, I'll explain. There are 6 cups (with beer) set up like bowling pins on each side of the table with a team of 2 on each side. They take turns trying to throw a ping pong ball into one of the other team's cup. If it gets in their cup, they have to drink the beer in that cup. To win, the other team has to drink all of their cups. Therefore, the more you win, the less drunk you are. I know this because after a while, we came in to watch. A lot of the people were drunk. The RAs make rounds at 10 and 12 (also maybe 8 r 2, were not sure). But as long as the door is closed and you're not too loud, they just walk right by. Anyway, so we were watching, and all of a sudden the fire alarms go off. So we all get out and I go to my room real quick to get some shoes and a jacket. My roommate has been waken up, which sucks because she had to leave at like 5 for a crew race. Anyway, of course it was kind of wet outside. Also, as we were going downstairs, we saw these people carrying a girl, who looked really bad. She had obviously puked on herself. So we all went outside, where many people promptly lit up cigarettes and cigars. Some people were around the girl. The fire trucks came. As far as we know, it was either popcorn burning or someone pulled it. But there were a lot of people out there who were drunk. I don't think they took the girl to the ambulence. My friend informed me that since she had puked, she was ok. She certainly didn't look it. Why you would want to get that drunk, beats me. Anyway, we all piled back in once we were given the ok and I went to bed. Yeah. That's college on a Friday night.
