One Strap or Two?

It wasn't until I was probably in high school that back packs became popular for hauling your life to and from school. (Yes, I'm that old. Let's move on.) I'm sorry. I'm so behind on lj. Hubby is down for the count? That leaves a lot for you to do. I hope you're taking care of you too.
I can relate to the backpack thing. Remember the 'Barenaked Ladies' grade nine song? lyrics *I got a blue and white Adidas bag and a humongous binder, I try my best not to look like minor niner, went out for the football team to prove that I'm a man, guess I should have told 'em that I like Duran Duran. This is me in grade nine baby.* Before grade nine, we carried plastic shopping bags ... yep. High tech.

Mac stands at my eyeballs in height now. There isn't a load of laundry done that something of his doesn't go back into the drawer or closet but goes in the charity pile because he's outgrown it. It was so funny the other day; he made the swim team but he had just a regular leisure type bathing suit and his teacher said it's dragging him down. So off we went to get a proper Speedo! Just last year it seemed any bathing suit would do but now he's growing up and it's a whole different ball game ... or swimming pool. He's swimming with the grade sevens and eights. I don't know where the time goes. I love it but sometimes I feel like Fred Flintstone ... I just want to put my feet through the floor and slow down a bit.
