After reflecting, I am concerned that we may have experienced a moment of poor communication durring dinner last Sunday. Although it is true that I received a letter grade of ‘C’ in my writing class this past spring, I don’t feel I accurately conveyed my experience in the class to you.

The letter ‘C’, that you so quickly dismissed as being a lackluster achievement, represents my first successful completion of a 200 level writing course. It also marks my first experience as a project manager on a collective research paper. I utilized leadership, organization, and communication skills in order to fulfil my role in the team. At times I had to prioritize my work load for the sake of teamwork, and as a consequence some individual projects went neglected. As a result of my dedication to our group, each team member successfully completed the highest level writing course PCC offers.

I continue to gain quite a bit from my studies, and this past spring was no exception. It is unfortunate that I was unable to communicate my success to you over dinner, and I regret the defensive comment I made.

Thank you for the meal. The lamb was amazing. I have not tasted meat so rich and delicate in a long time. I will remember eating perfect strawberries and cream during the thunderstorm. Please inform me, by phone, of any BBQ opportunities. You can reach me at 503-757-1238. Otherwise, I look forward to hearing from you by email.
