Soul Men stand up
Friday afternoon my boss (Bruce) came walking out into the shop where I work and stated "We've got a black funeral for Wed." and then started singing "i'm a soul man" and dancing around the shop. Well today being Wed. I attended my first black funeral.
First off my coworker Paul had a hard time understanding what these two men were asking in regards to the funeral and we still have no idea what they asked us. we sort of pointed to the hole and kept saying its up there and drove off
Second these same men in their beat up chrysler mini van blasting rap were wearing very bright suits, one a near neon green, and the other electric blue.
the hearse for this funeral was the same car as Andrea's/thegirl360 a 1988 olds with Cadillac symbols attached to the sides
it was the getto cruiser hearse
The undertaker for this event looked like snoop doggy dog in the Starsky and Hutch previews only older, he had cornrows, a cane and looked like that gold tipped cane was used to beat da hoes...
Paul attempted to carry on a conversation with said undertaker and when he mentioned the weather (which was pretty nice and warm) he got something about driveways that need shoveling and on and on
Also a member of this graveside group was the pastor
he yelled a lot "And the lord givith and the lord Takith away!!!!"
for those of you who have seen The Great White Hype, he was similar to samuel Jackson in that movie
he shouted and yelled for a while, we watched the bright bright suits and then they disbursed and disappeared down the road as the vault guy showed up and yelled "Oh shit they got her in the ground already!"
