So I've come to the conclusion that New Years resolutions don't really work. I say that every year and yet I still make a laundry list of things to accomplish, things to improve myself. By the end of the year I feel like a failure because I didn't accomplish all of them. But still I feel like I have to make that list! Well I'm determined, I have to finish this list. It's my resolution. I've gone over the mistakes I've made in the past and make a list that is guaranteed to be successful.
*The number one resolution on your resolution list should always be...
1. Accomplish everything on my resolution list
*Instead of putting "Lose 20 pounds", put something that is a reachable goal that will guarantee you will loose weight, feel great about yourself, and you'll be happy. If you make this goal of loosing 20 pounds you will kill yourself trying to run the treadmill an hour a day. You don't have to kill yourself.
2. Take a fitness class through the Lakewood Board Of Recreation
*Now I made the mistake a couple of weeks ago by writing down, "Read 25 books". Now I want to read more, I really do. However life can get hectic with all the other obligations out there so I will simply put...
3. Read more. I read 16 books last year...just read more!
*Every year I make the resolution to give to somewhere between 5-10 charities, and at the end of the year it ends up coming out to about 2 or 3. This always makes me feel so sad. I'm very fortunate and I live a happy life and I shouldn't be so selfish and the fact that there are 52 weeks out of the year and I only give to 2 or 3 charities, I feel aweful.
4. Give to a charity every season. That's four a year. I've already given to St. Jude's hospital. So 1 down 3 to go. I'll keep you posted.
*I really want to take a trip this year. I'm already going to Florida for a wedding, but I want this to be something that I plan and pay for. I've put aside 30 dollars every month since last July. I would like my trip to be this coming August. So If I keep that up I will have $390, and I'm sure I could swing a hundred and ten dollars at the end of that to make it an even 500. We'll see how this goes.
5. Take a trip, besides Florida.
Well this is all I have for right now. I'll probably add to this as time goes by.
