ARISIA is this (fast approaching) weekend. I'll be there, probably off-line for most of the con. Among other things, this ALSO means that I will NOT BE AT THE MILLION YEAR PICNIC COMIC SHOP Friday, nor Sunday, nor even Monday. I will be there Tuesday, though.
Saturday, 19 January 2008 (in the middle of Arisia), rmd and I will hold our usual Arisia party, starting around 9pm and going until we're too tired to talk, in room 223.
My esteemed colleague ceciliatan has announced the publication of Best Fantastic Erotica! We have BOXES and BOXES of copies! If you're not going to be at Arisia, go buy a copy off the webpage! Yeah!
If you ARE gonna be at Arisia, Circlet is officially launching Best Fantastic Erotica (affectionately known as BFE around the office) at a special party and reading on Friday, 18 January 2008, 9pm - midnight in Party Suite 209! BFE AND OTHER BOOKS WILL BE FOR SALE! READINGS WILL BE AWESOME AND SEXY! YOU WANT EROTIC BOOKS, YOU REALLY DO!
Back in the spring of 2007, I was asked to coordinate a special mini-track of panels on webcomics for Arisia 2008. I couldn't get anyone interested in coming up with ideas for panels or committing to participating. I couldn't get anyone to answer my emails in general, actually, except for the lovely Alexander Danner. (And yes, I did email a LOT of people.) I had a major downswing in my depression (mostly unrelated) and got nothing done. And THAT is why there aren't any webcomics related panels at Arisia. (Well, no, there is a panel about xkcd, but that's it as far as I can tell.) YEP! It's ALL MY FAULT! As a matter fact, I DO suck. *sigh*
According to iTunes, I have 1,967 songs on my computer. I think that number is probably 20 or 30 songs high, because I've used three different music managers and two different formats, so there's a couple of albums that have been duplicated. Still, a respectable number.
