Books Read June 2007:

26. ALL STAR SUPERMAN by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely with Jamie Grant. This was a birthday gift from romkey and I found it to be quite awesome. Reminded me of all the good stuff I love about comic books.

27. Zen in the Art of Archery by Eugen Herrigel, originally published in 1953, this is one westerner's perspective on Zen as practiced by the Japanese and learned through archery. Very interesting. Made some connections that I hadn't understood before, not only between an art or practice and Zen, but also between practice and mastery.

28. All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris, 2007. Painful events pepper the lives of Harris' main character (Sookie) and her friends. It makes me wonder what the hell Harris is going to do to the poor critters next. I enjoyed the hell out of it, of course, though it wasn't as much fun as some of the past Sookie novels.

29. Sight Unseen is an amazing, utterly horrifyingly creepy hardcover graphic novel with art by Bo Hampton and story by Robert Tinnell. (Actually, I think it's out in softcover now.)

For detailed reviews of ALL STAR SUPERMAN and Sight Unseen, take a peek over here at my post in the millionyear community back in July.

(Yes, I'm trying to catch up. I've documented most of the books I've read, but I need to flesh out the comments/reviews.)
