Baseball players, usually pitchers, occasionally have to sit out games due to "back spasms" and I've often wondered what they are.
Well, now I know. I shouldn't have asked. It's like trying to sleep on a rock-sized fist that's covered with jagged bits and keeps moving. Alternately, while stretching it out, it's like being jabbed with dull knitting needles, repeatedly.
Ow.
