Body Double Session 3

Sep 03, 2011 23:04

Today (Saturday, 9/3) I had my last body double session for the week. This time, drwex came over and played around on a laptop while I worked on stuff from the floor of the kitchen. In fact, a few minutes before our 2-hour session was up, I'd finished picking up and processing all the papers on the kitchen floor!

One of the important things I managed to get done was to separate out all of the Weekly Dig issues that contain an article or comic book review by me and put them into a folder (that doesn't hold them properly but at least keeps them sort of contained) labeled "CONTAIN ARTICLES BY KJC" so I can find them again. (You, dear friend, can read them here if you are so inclined.) All the other random copies (ones I picked up to read and ones I picked up because I thought I might be in them) have been recycled.

I've also done some work on my mail station (which is a very cluttered small bookshelf near the front door, although it is less cluttered since I started the body double project & cleared a bunch of crap off of it) so that there is a receptacle for financial papers, a receptacle for health care papers, and a receptacle for my damn pocket change. More things need to be cleared off the bookshelf and more things need to go live there. The BF built me a little wooden bin to live on top of it & contain my mail, but apparently it's too big because I FILL IT WITH MAIL and don't deal with it. So I need to put other mail station materials into a holder that will live in the bin and limit how much space I can then leave to mail. And I do need a special place for my beloved letter opener (which took visits to THREE stores to find).

Now that I've whacked all the low-hanging fruit off the tree of terror that is my home, I have to start working on the difficult stuff. Poo.

getting things done, adhd, clean-up, organize, body double, cleaning, gtd, add, to do, clean, 15-minutes
