Spock

No one can replace Severus Snape in my heart. No one.

That being said, Spock is sexy, oh yes he is. All that thinly repressed emotion, just under the surface, ready to boil over. And the steamy kiss in the lift, mmmm...

That is all.

(and before the movie, I've never seen even one episode of Star Trek.)

And the sweeter, even steamier kisses on the transporter pad. Oh yes, he is delicious.

That's what I adore about this movie. It's got a great adventure for you, who has never seen an episode, and a few dozen funny references to canon for those of us who have watched the show. It appeals to everybody!

It was amazing.

I love Spock now. Am seriously considering just purchasing the series. So much more the hero than Kirk in this movie. And I was VERY happy to see him get the girl, instead of typical Hollywood movies where Kirk would.

And when he kicks Kirk's ass! *dreamy sigh* I'm in love. Oh, like he is barely holding in all his passion and rage and just *guh*

It's never the lead hero who gets the lead girl; it's always his best friend. Han ended up with Leia, and we all know who canon Hermione ended up with. (Ew.)

I didn't so much like it when he lost control after Kirk goaded him, but before that, when Kirk was arguing with him about whether they should regroup with the fleet or go to Earth to take Nero out and Spock just pinched his neck and rendered Kirk unconscious ... sheer delight.

Most of the original ST series is so campy I can't watch it. But there are a few episodes that stand out and are really amazing. And Leonard Nimoy is very good -- very attractive -- though not quite as hot.

LOL I found this vid on youtube that was basically an interview with hardcore trekkies, saying stuff like, 'We were pretty much disappointed. The movie was fun, watchable, and did not contain one fight scene between an out of shape forty year old and an actor in a rubber alien suit." And my favorite, "If I wanted to watch young, sexy stars doing super cool stunts, I would just watch sports."

Apparently, the studio released a statement saying that the dvd release *would* include a three-hour bonus scene where the characters endlessly discussed intergalatic peace sitting at a round table.

And Spock is super intelligent. Just his way of speaking. I fell in love the scene during his childhood, when he was like, 'This is your thirty-fifth attempt to elicit anger from me..."

I was telling a friend of mine that he had a certain "young Severusness" about him. In fact, I took a quiz entitled "Which Star Trek character are you?". I was Troi. But I ALSO answered for Severus. He turned out to be Spock -- no surprise there, really.

Sev could totally be a Vulcan. I read somewhere that they only get the urge to mate once every seven years. Hmm, I would like to be around when *this* Spock gets that urge. Yes, yes I would.

Oh, gods, YES! Spock is HOT! Kirk is just too Griffindor for my tastes -- he TRIES too hard to be an alpha male. Spock doesn't have to TRY. And, as you say, Severus is first in my heart, always and forever. But I'm not dead yet, and I can still look! And, oh my! He is something to look at! Those lips! Those eyes! Those ears! LOL...

Actually, I'm old enough to have watched the first Star Trek on TV before it even went into syndication. I was part of the letter writing campaign to keep it on the air when they threatened to cancel it. Was it for Kirk? HELL, NO! I loved the character of Spock from the get-go. Although McCoy is pretty awesome, too. I just LOVE his sarcastic streak!

Entirely too Gryffindor, with the 'I gotta be a badass 'cause my Dad died' complex. I much preferred Spock's cool, calm exterior with the barely concealed, passionate interior. And the slow, sexy, measured kisses *dies*

The old Spock is sexy too, but I must admit, this one just, *guh*

Severus will always be #1, but look, yes. And look some more. I want to go see the movie again, just to stare at Spock.
