Computer Upgrade
Well, it's been an interesting week. Yup, I said week. I decided to upgrade my operating system, Fedora 7 to Fedora 8, and it's taken me that long to get things where I wanted them. I went with a complete new install as I wanted to reformat my hard drives into separate partitions and that meant I spent two days backing things up and a little more trying to document everything I already had. Then one doing the install and the rest getting all of my add-on software back up and running. Everything was a little bit different, or I decided to go with something similar, or.... At least this time, I decided to document everything I did so next time it will go faster. Now I can start setting up the Raid 1 configuration that was the whole purpose of not just following the upgrade path. I think it will be worth it... I do have more functionality...
And to be fair it's 7 days elapsed time, not 7 man-days.
