I'm so excited!!!!

RUSH will be touring this summer following the release of their new album May 1. As soon as I found out, I started making plans.

My first thought was to quit my job and follow them around the globe for 4 months. Once I realized that wasn't going to work, I checked the dates for Dallas, Indy and Seattle. I then got in touch with my brother, who originally introduced me to the magic of RUSH almost 20 years ago. We made plans and I bought tickets last night. (When you are a dork who is a part of a fan club, you get to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public). So, on July 20, Travis and I will fly to Seattle to see RUSH with my brother and sister in law. Then on August 11, they will fly to Dallas and we will see them here. Unfortunately, RUSH plays in Indy the same weekend as PAX (a convention in Seattle that Travis and I are going to), so that won't work. But, seeing them twice is good. If I had more money, I would see them more, but I can't wait! This summer just got a whole lot more fun.
The Rising Winds coronation was last weekend. We, of course, drove home for it.

We had fun. Tugen got his Warlord, which was great. Sparhawk awarded it to him, with permission of the Monarch. It was very touching. A lot of hard work went into him reaching this goal, and I was happy to see it all pay off for him. I don't expect him to ever become a Knight, but I admit I am completely biased and jaded against the COK in the RW. I hope that he gets it, if that is what he wants. But, for now, I am thrilled with what he has accomplished.
I like watching jugging. Watching jugging with my friends is even more fun. Video taping jugging, while surrounded by friends who are jeering, is probably the best ever. Of course the tape must be edited, as all you can here is Tori, D'gar, Clyde and myself screaming at people, but I had fun.
I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends. There is never enough time, but we make do. I am always exhausted at the end of this weekend, due to the fact that we drive 13 hours there (after a full day of work), stay 2 days and then drive 13 hours back. But, it is the price we pay for living in Texas, and I gladly pay it.

Shane and I had a talk in which we agreed we needed to talk. Hey, that is a step for us. Talking simply isn't what our relationship is based on. However, we have decisions to make about our future, and since we are on very different pages, we have to talk about it. The main thing we agreed on is that we will work it out, because we are both too lazy to get divorced. Works for me. :)
