Quiet here these days
It's funny to notice that when I first started out on Livejournal back in ooh... 2004? That the amount of people I know using it then has almost completely drained to nothing.
I've got the majority of the people on my friends list that I ever did, but there are barely more than a handful that actually update their journal with any regularity. A few more pop in facebook and Twitter crossfeeds but who never actually update and the rest have either closed their accounts or long ago let them run stagnant.
Although i know that the basis of Social networking sites is to be superceeded by newer ideas and the adaptability of first MySpace then Bebo and Facebook appeal to people who want more than to simply diarise about their lives and let their friends know about fun times they've had.
Personally I've already seen a blog or two bite the dust due to lack of interest, or readers. (not much point writing a blog if no-one reads it any more) I wonder how much longer I'll bother with LJ?
