White Wolf fans shouldn't complain
I went to see Underworld: Rise of the Lycans yesterday. I still keep calling it Underworld 3, when it ought to be Underworld 0, or possibly even Underworld -1.
In any case it's a damn amusing piece of pap-entertainment. If you enjoyed the first two on any level then you'll probably get a giggle at this. Even if you didn't then the medieval setting is far more forgiving towards the Werewolves fighting Vampires idea than modern day Prague.
I also noted that there is technically still enough story left to do ANOTHER prequel to the original film, but that'll depend on them coaxing back Kate Beckinsale and Shane Brolly (that said he doesn't get all that much work these days) but unless Len Wiseman comes back to direct it's unlikely that his wife will bother reprising the role of Selene.
Ah well. Back off to Kilmarnock I think.
