A TV Series of Ice and Fire?
I never thought I'd see the day, but this morning CHUD reported it Here.
So HBO eh? My feeling about them are mixed. In their favour, they have greenlit this and are also behind the coming Preacher mini-series but they've also managed to shaft and cancel Deadwood, Carnivale, and most recently announced that Rome will end after Series 2, because of spiraling budget concerns.
So how the hell can they envision bringing Westeros to the screen? In the first book alone, they've got 3 giant castles and a 700foot tall wall of ice to bring to the screen. As well as a handful of battles. In any event, there may at least be a first series, and the dvd sales alone might convince them to keep making it.
