GM and Chrysler need a slap of reality. We give you money, you give us something in return. America is great, but we don't just give away the goods for free! That's my damn money, I want something in return. I feel for the workers, don't get me wrong. But if you work for a flawed company then you might lose your job -- plain and simple. None of my former employers ever got any kind of bail out. I guess they just didn't employ enough people.
And you jerks who bought houses when you couldn't afford them? I think you should lose them. You didn't have to buy. I didn't. Maybe I should have though, gets me some bail help to pay my mortgages on all my houses I "'vested" in. But no, I was smart and knew I couldn't afford it so I didn't buy. Guess what -- I'll buy your pad, that you got for $650k, from the bank that's going to foreclose on you, and take it off their hands for $250k. Guess who's the winner now? *sigh*
I'm just frustrated by this whole "bail out"/"stimulus"/"gimme gimme" thing. How are people and companies ever going to learn if they don't have to pay for the mistakes that they've made? They aren't.
