So, I didn't post that concert review right away like a promised. XD... The last week went by kinda fast in some ways and slow in some other ways, if you know what I mean... As soon as I got back from my "mini-vacation", I had to work 5 days in a row. Usually with my work schedule I have a day off after about 2 or 3 days. So these five days seemed to drag. lol... but at the same time, it feels like yesterday I was just at the concert enjoying myself...
The quick NYC trip went okay except for one problem with my hotel. Wednesday morning(the 25th), I took the bus to the city and had some time before I could check into my hotel. I grabbed something to eat, found my way around, and looked for exactly where things were located(as in places I wanted to go, hotel, concert venue). I had planned ahead a time to have my hotel near the concert venue and also have few other things near. I was able to get around with no problem...but *lots* of walking. XD I definitely got my exercise that day. I ended it up going to the MOMA for a little bit. I hadn't been there in a longgg while....maybe around when I was 17 for a school trip, if I remember correctly. I could tell I hadn't been there for a while because so much had seemed to change! But it was cool to check out the museum again for a bit.
After that, I chilled in my hotel for a while and got ready for the show....
I like to post reviews to look back on and smile. This will be one of those shows...
I remembered the setlist, minus a few songs, so here is a complete setlist that someone else posted, it sounds about right(they got an actual setlist from the show, lucky people).

I made my way down the New York City streets to Terminal 5. It wasn't too hard to find and I made a good spot in the waiting line without even having to come any earlier than the door time.
They let us in, disposing of water bottles and warning of no cameras(but of course a lot of people got inside with them, me included ). The venue was small enough and all standing room except for those who wanted to go upstairs and sit at the small round tables. I made my way to the front of the stage with no trouble what-so-ever. They had two stands in one section of the venue, one for water and such and one for merchandise. There was also a bar in the back for those who were able to get their blue bracelet.
I stayed in my spot up front, right(left stage)…waiting…and waiting…listening to the other fans discuss which album is better, what they hoped the band would play, what bands really suck, and what ones you would/should really love. I tried not to fall asleep as the sound guys were playing somewhat mellow music. It didn't help that the sound was muffled at times(I won't lie, it wasn't the best venue).
Before anything else, I will talk about the opening band, Datarock. I honestly didn't get to hear much of their music beforehand so I could only guess what to expect. They had a good amount of energy and got the crowd rowdy enough for when Ladytron finally came on.
The one band member, whose place was mostly right in front of me in left stage, was jumping and running around the most. He was banging the tamborine, playing other instruments including the saxophone. You usually don't think of the saxophone when you think of rocking out, but he rocked out definitely. He also made his way into the crowd twice, giving fans hi-five's back and forth. Security had to help him back onto the stage both times and he got pulled back up right in front of me and others, butt in face. haha!! And that happened both times.....
All the band members were dancing, clapping, and running around all over the stage. They asked the crowd to get into the songs as much as possible. Some did, some didn't. I enjoyed most of the songs and the sound was more guitars than I had expected. But I definitely wasn't as excited as some of the fans there. They played for about 45 minutes.
After the opening band finished, we didn't have to wait too long for..... Ladytron!
They came out with a warm welcome from the crowd and went right into Black Cat. I can't tell you how *awesome* the light show was to go along with each song. As the playlist shows, they played most songs from their new album(Velocifero) and their previous album(Witching Hour) with a few old favorites thrown in. Seventeen and Playgirl were main crowd-pleasers.
The front row was bouncing! lol. Jumping and clapping their hands, I joined in and sang along to every song that I could. There were so many highlights to say about the show, but I am too tired describe every one at the moment.
The band had the whole crowd clapping during Last One Standing.
I was hoping for Deep Blue to sound a little more intense than it did, but I still f-ing love that song!
I was also hoping to hear some other favorites of mine, like Tomorrow, but oh well...can't have everything...
Someone screamed, "We love you Ladytron!!" Mira responded, "That's good to know..."
I can't remember what exact song it was towards the end, but one of the band members from Datarock came out again to rock out once again on the saxophone!! haha. I wish I could remember which song it was, but I don't want to say the wrong one, lol. You could see he was joking around with the band and even gave Helen a kiss on the cheek before leaving. She just laughed and smiled.
The band had two extra members help them on drums and guitar. At first, I thought what are these guys doing here?! haha... The girls didn't come out until a few moments after.
There was a disco light during Discotraxx.
Before one of the other songs, I believe it was Helen who spoke, "We'd like to thank Debbie Harry(!!!!!) for coming out to the show tonight..." (just awesome...) I didn't see her in the audience, I'm sure she was hiding out somewhere, lol.
Destroy Everything You Touch was definitely one of the biggest highlights of the night; their last song played during their encore where Helen spoke, "Are you ready to destroy everything...?" And the crowd screamed, "Yeah!"...and were jumping the most out of the whole show, with colored confetti to end the song and the show...as the band said their good-byes and the lights faded...
Versus played over the speaker from the album as the huge crowd baby-stepped it's way out of the venue and onto some of the more mellow streets of NYC on a Wednesday evening. I walked away, smiling....
I took some pictures with my (crappy) camera and will upload them sometime soon. Here are some much better pictures to check out until then...

Ladytron - Live - June 25, 2008 - Terminal 5, NYC
I left NYC the next morning and prayed I'd make it home alive as my bus driver proceeded to cut off many drivers and get lost in a seedy part of NY state. lol XD ugh...but anyway. Can't complain...I'm just happy I got a little vacation. :) I will update on other things soon....
