I'm still stuck in March... :P
It's been a little bit since I made update. I've wanted to, but I've just been very busy...between work, school crap, art stuff, and things at home & with friends...
~May 18, we had our work's softball game. The weather was kind of crappy; there were a few downpours, but everyone was in good spirits. We came is second. The first game was kind of close but we beat the other team. The second team creamed us. :P I found out we'll be playing again, probably as soon as next week because we didn't get to play the third team on the 18th. Um...my batting is getting better & I didn't hurt myself. ;D
~I got to go back to my hometown a little while ago and see some friends I haven't seen in a while...It was more before Memorial Day. fun times...
~Things with school have been more or less frustrating lately. I've been playing phone tag with my one advisor who has been very helpful and friendly. But she's now referred me to another advisor who can help me with my school situation. I keep getting told she'll get in contact with me or that she tried to call...but um...I don't have *any* proof of that. Friday, my previous advisor said that she *would* call me Saturday(this was the third or forth time I heard this...) and still nothing. I'm wondering if she just has the wrong contact info for me?...or the new semester starts in a month and half and maybe she's just swamped? I would just contact her myself, but no one gave me her email or contact info, so the next step is just asking... I'm not trying to complain, but this is stuffshit I wanted to take care of weeks ago and probably could if someone would just TALK to me... gah. I was really getting frustrated over the weekend. I feel like I haven't even gotten off the ground with this.
My advisor told me to be patient, so that's what I'm doing. Sometimes, when it comes to school things, I don't know when it's right to be patient or pushy...
~A lot of people have asked me todo commissions lately. It feels good to keep at it with art when other things are bringing me down. I'm trying to keep fresh with my ideas for personal art stuff or to put in my portfolio.
~Ladytron: JUNE 25, NYC. I'm excited, but I think I'm more excited because it will basically be my only vaca. for the summer. And I haven't been to a concert in FOREVER(3 years or so). Wish I could see Coldplay too, but I doubt I'll be able to. Can't wait for the album too. Saturdays are mandatory at work...so are most Sundays. I put in my request for those few days off a while ago so it's all good. And then I'll have the North Carolina trip to look forward to in September.
