Leave a comment saying, "IT'S TASTING TIME!" and I will give you five words I associate with you. Then post about what they mean to you, along with this, at your journal.

Words chosen for me by sorcererhuntres :CARDS, JUUDAI, TOFU, JAPANESE, AND ANIMATION.

CARDS: No secret there for anyone. Especially when I'm lagging around my giant YGO GX backpack full of decks and spare cards. YGO was the second trading card game I learned how to play and the only one I've stuck with for so long. I guess at first it was the show that kept me into it, since all my friends in high school played YGO while GX was airing. After that though, I guess now our little AU Fanfic idea is what kept me going (and spending tons of money on new decks). Now, though, I think I still like keeping with it because of all the great friends I've made through my cards. Really, it's an easy way for me to connect with people, and it sure is a fun way to pass the time.

JUUDAI: ONE OF MY 3 FAVORITE ANIME CHARACTERS, actually, probably has to be my favorite. I love Juudai so much because he's such a kid. I kind of literally "grew up" with him since GX started him at 15 and hey, I was 15 too~ GX ended with the both of us at 18. I think the reason I have so much attachment to Juudai is because I was also struggling with the whole concept of "growing up", of trying to still be a kid yet still being an adult and hey, Juudai was essentially going through the same thing at the end of GX. I love his great range of emotions, how he was able to have his major losses and yet still get back up and be okay.

TOFU: Oh gods. the giant collection of Tofu plushies sitting on my bed. I can't remember how exactly this obsession even started, but I guess I just randomly walked into the J-style store in Costa Mesa's Mitsuwa and just really wanted the large riceball tofu. I wasn't originally intending to collect so many, it was supposed to be just the big one, but then they had some of my favorite foods like green tea and shrimp and it sorta spiraled from there. I love how the plushies are so soft and SQUISHY~ They are a big comfort for me, and I do cuddle them a lot when I feel down or am just tired. Doesn't help that I like to eat actual tofu as well, I suppose. =P I just want to get a small strawberry tofu plush and I'm done with my tofu collection.

EDIT: Since sorcererhuntres pointed this out, I only mentioned my tofu plushies, but in addition to those, I've also accumulated another pile of random food plushies. Soybeans, honeycakes, sushi, fruits, milk cartons, etc. Those, I think I will continue to try and buy, since I find it so amusing of all the different foods they turn into plushies and put faces on (and they are very ADORABLE). I currently have my eye on a banana and a loaf of bread plushie in the J-style store. XD

JAPANESE: LOL. Uhm, well, where to begin? I like Japanese Anime, Japanese foods, Japanese Music and the language.... I guess it probably did start with the anime and manga at first. It was when I saw the japanese foods from there that I sought them out to try them and found that I really liked them a lot. discovering a japanese supermarket less than ten minutes away did not help this. XD Then there was the obsession with Japanese music that started after I accidentally I downloaded an anime song I thought was going to be english. I liked the song and sought out more music from the same series then later wanted to understand what was actually being said and so i started learning japanese. Plus, I think the language just has a very pleasing sound.

ANIMATION: My major and something that I have always loved since I was a child. I feel that along with books and my mom, animation and cartoons have been some of my best life teachers. I love the fantastic stories told through animation, and the magic of being able to make audiences care for and empathize with a image of colors and lines. Really, I know sometimes how I may be silly for obsessing over characters since I go to the point of worrying for them, and becoming overly emotional for them. Heck, part of me feels them and their worlds to be real at certain points and I hafta drag myself back to reality, but, I love it. Animation has such a magic of creation that has appealed to me for so long and that I want to be a part of. No matter what studio or company I end up working with in the future, I just want to be part of the magic that creates stories and characters that people love and learn from.
