Disclaimer- I do NOT own anything, nor am I making any money off of this. I'm just simply writing a story for fun here.
Throughout the week, I have given my presents to each staff member except for Snape. I just haven't worked up the courage, though I better get a move in since today's my last day here before Christmas Holiday. I sit down at my table in the Great Hall for lunch, taking a little bit of everything, and putting it on my plate. Today's the day, I think to myself, I'm going to do it. I look over at the Staff table, watching Snape drink his water. He seems to feel a pair of eyes on him, because he looks out into the sea of students, eventually locking eyes with me. Blushing, I give him a smile. He looks as if he's trying smile back, but can't quite bring himself to do it. He looks away quickly, playing he's interested in what McGonagall has to say.
After a moment, he leaves, wlaking by the Slytherin table to do so. Shortly after, I head back to Gryffindor Tower, grabbing Snape's present. I wander along the corridor, trying to find Snape. Oh please let me find him. It's my last chance before Christmas. Eventually, I see him going into his classroom, shutting the door behind him. He's obviously lesson planning.
I walk up to his classroom with the package hidden behind my back, take a deep breath, and slowly open the door; closing it in the same manner. Only when it shuts does Snape look up from his desk. "What is it, Potter?" is the freeting I get.
"Well, you see, I..." my heart starts pounding as I walk over to his desk, "I just came here to..." I'm finally behind his desk, "I just wanted to..."
Snape looks a bit annoyed, "Yes?" he says impatiently.
I take the package from behind my back, and hold it up to him, "Here."
Snape looks at me for a moment, then at the present, obviously thrown off. He stares at it long enough for me to feel stupid standing there in that pose. "Um, it's, for you," I offer.
Snape looks back at me as if suddenly realizing it's me who's holding it out to him. He puts down his quill, carefully takes his gift from me, and takes out his wand. Saying something I can't quite make out, he taps each corner of the wrapped box three times, and a bright green light surrounds it for a split second, then fades. He puts his wand away, then begins to unwrap it.
I get butterflies as I watch him. He opens things in quite an unusual manner. It's impatiently, yet gracefully. He stares at the scarf and gloves that sit on white tissue paper, and from the look on his face I can tell he's embarrassed by the fact that his need for a new scarf and gloves is quite obvious. He takes his scarf and gloves out of the box, trying them on, then looks back at me. His eyes are warm. "Thank you," he says, his face straight.
He likes my present! I stand there, smiling stupidly at him like a little school girl. Dumbledore must be decorating the school, because, without warning, Christmas decorations start appearing. I look around in awe as the room goes from cold, dark classroom to bright, and cheerful classroom.
Then, a mistletoe forms above us. I stare at Snape for a moment, then at the mistletoe, then back at Snape, butterflies fluttering about in my stomach. Before I can stop myself, I lean in, and kiss Snape. Surprisingly, he doesn't pull away, but instead, kisses me back. He sucks on my lower lip, while I moan softly, wrapping my arms around his neck.
After a while, I slowly pull away, not believing what just happened. I'm about to apologize for not being able to control myself, when I'm gently pulled back in for another kiss.
