I have been quite busy these days, teaching the Intensive Chinese three hours a day, plus an hour of office hour from Mon to Thur, and taking my own practicum for six hours a week, plus tons of time spending on preparation and grading homework everyday. It's not that easy to live in the US. 美国不是个好混的地方。Sometimes I just feel like quiting, but I know that won't work either because I know I need to have things to do.
Brett is here for almost... I don't know, wow, I realize that I even don't remember when he moved in, maybe three weeks by now? Anyway, he is still looking for jobs. It's not that easy to find a fine job in Monterey since it's so small and he just graduated from college.
He cooks lunch and dinner during weekdays, which is very nice, coz I would be so busy and tired by the time when I get home. His cooking skills definitely have improved a lot. And I realize that I just don't like cheeze after I have tried some of the food that he made. He is also having fun with his video games. I tried one fishing game for about five minuites or less. Man, that controller thing is complicated: six buttons and I have to know very quickly which one to push. Not easy. And when we saw a big trout swim by, Brett got excited and took my controller away coz I was too slow. But he didn't get the fish either. So after dinner and washing dishes, he went back to the livingroom and is playing that game again.
I am looking forward to this coming three day weekend. I really need to make up for my sleep and catch up with my work and try to get ahead.
