onto maine...it was actually really fun. highlight time!

-12 year old child with dreadlocks sitting on a bench holding a fake sword.

-trekking through the trails of acadia national park with my neon/striped clothing and fake pearls, and being whispered about by indian women. (lowlight???)

-one word: shagfest! i died every day. the total count: +/-25, and 4 afros. INCLUDING: Two "nu-metal" shag brothers (they came to be known as this because i saw them every day i was there in some random place, and each day they were wearing linkin park/korn/limp bizkit shirts), a heavenly angel with a brown shag and sunglasses who i saw the first day strolling through downtown, 3 hours later on the top of a mountain, and then 2 days later leaning against a car. FATE. A taplike boy, a chilly lookalike, a lanky backpacked shag with a swizzle stick in his mouth, and two blonde brothers eating ice cream. Even on the way home today, they seem to follow me. At a random seafood restaurant taken over by a tour group of senior citizens, i saw a freakin' shag baking apple crisp things in the bakery booth in front of my table. dammit.

-our hotel had a tiki bar. NICE.

-taking a foggy nature cruise with japanese tourists who promptly fell asleep on the bottom deck. i couldn't resist taking a picture.

i texted julie on the boat and that was cool.

-a waiter at this 50's diner that WAS trent from daria. he had the gravelly voice and was so creepy. i was half expecting him to break out a guitar and start singing about psychic refugees.

-validating my suspicion that i was in the midst of hippie-land. the t-shirts at this ice cream parlor i went to read "we pack the biggest bowl in town." that CAN'T be just a random wrong choice of words.

So yeah, maine was cool. EVERYONE- clear your schedules for friday or saturday. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE is coming to the bedford mall and everyone is coming with me to see it, k?? <3
