so i was at the ramen-ya with my 兄 and grandma today, and as i was eating my ramen, i said to my brother
“did you know that in japanese restaurants sometimes, they have this thing called ‘kaidama’ where you can order extra noodles for like a buck or something”
and my brother was like, “oh,” in a disinterested kind of way. then he said, “well, you know how that got started? who invented it?”
and curious that my brother would possibly know something about japanese culture i didn’t know. i asked who?
“mc donalds. it’s called super size me”
