I haven't done a single "WIP Wednesday" post this year, so this is my chance to show off some of the awesome things I've made this year. So for once I'll add photos instead of links ;-)
Assuming I've remembered to list everything on Ravelry AND remembered to include the 2023 tag on all finished objects, here are my stats for the year.
# Items finished this year: 25 (-)
# Meters of yarn knit/crocheted: ~12,960 (-)
# Meters of yarn bought/gifted: 17,083 (+ most of this was for commissions though... and then a very generous going-away present from work )
# WIPs at the start of this year: 13: 4 pairs of socks (2 finished, 2 frogged), 2 sweaters (1 finished), 4 blankets (1 finished), 2 stuffed toys (both finished) and 1 shawl (still a WIP)
# WIPs at the end of this year. 13. 3 pairs of socks, 1 sweater, 2 tops, 3 shawls, 1 gift for Lars and my 3 long-term blanket projects (although it's my goal to finish one of those this year!)
First/last cast on: First: Various hexagons for a test-crochet (Jan 13th) / Last: Another set of Chip & Santas - for Lars this time (Dec 28th).
First/last cast off: First: Various hexagons for a test-crochet (Jan 13th) / Last: The Chip & Santas for a friend of mine (Dec 3rd)

Frogged items: 2: Two pairs of socks. One because the yarn was too gorgeous to hide away in shoes, one because fair isle in socks is just NOT worth it X-D
Most Challenging Project: Probably the knitted revolver I made for a colleague as an inside joke. It was SO fiddly to put together! I was quite happy with the end result, but am NEVER gonna make that one again!
Best Gift / Commission: Chip & Santas made for a friend of mine. SO adorable and it's the first thing EVER that Lars has asked me to make for him as well. Nina commented that it was the most epic project ever, and I kinda agree :-D The nostalgia factor is high as
this cartoon is shown in TV eeeevery single Christmas Eve in Denmark :-D (the relevant bit starts at 4:35)
Most Satisfying Project: Nina's Granny Square Cardigan. It was heaps of fun to make, and I loved playing around with the colours for the different squares. And fortunately she absolutely LOVES it :-D
Project I was the Happiest to Finish: The Vivid blanket. I've been working on that since 2015 and was SO pleased to finally finish it and pass on to my cousin's daughter :-D
Cutest Project: Zane the Zebra - SO fiddly to make, but totally worth it - crazy cute.
Project I'm Getting the Most Wear out of: A toss between the Stephanie Sweater and the Maisie pullover. The former was instant love from the minute I finished it, but I had to redo the final 50 rounds of the latter, as the original pattern had lace across the lower part of the stomach which... did NOT look good. Fortunately the do-over was WELL worth it, because now I love the way it looks!
Favourite Project of the Year: Probably the Granny Square Cardigan. Seriously, Nina looks AMAZING in it :-D
