I suddenly realized that I haven't made one of these posts at ALL this year :-O That is.... crazy! But since I haven't gone abroad I've been subject to Denmark's very high book prices, and that makes me tend to not buy so many books after all. So in all of 2021 my collection has only been expanded by 15 books...
The Night Stalker - Chris Carter Chris Carter writes books that are SO unputdownable, so I keep coming back for more, even though they are a taaaaaad more graphic than I prefer. Still - absolute pageturners, so I keep buying the next in the series.
Runaway, The Stranger & Stay Close - Harlan Coben Harlan Coben is one of those rare authors who still write stand-alone crime novels. So far I've liked everything I've read by him, so he's become one of my go-to authors.
The Strangers (Greystone) - Margaret Peterson Haddix A children's book, but really well written! Lots of questions being asked in the beginning, and they all had mostly satisfying answers. I'd definitely like to read the rest of this series.
In a Holidaze - Christina Lauren I read this last year, and loved it enough that I wanted to add it to my library. It was my intention to read it for Christmas this year, but somehow I got sidetracked :-P Ah well - there's always next year.
Mand uden ansigt - Dennis Jürgensen Dennis Jürgensen has written one of my favourite books ever, but I've yet to read any of his crime novels. This one sounded interesting.
Last Night, Don't You Forget About Me & If I Never Met You - Mhairi McFarlane I'd read the last two and loved them (so wanted them for my physical library, natch) and the first one sounded interesting enough, that I wanted to read that one too. Unfortunately, it couldn't quite live up to my expectations, but I'm still glad to have read it.
The Beginner's Guide to Lonelisness - Laura Brambrey The title drew me in, the back blurb sold me. It sounds like an adorable book, so I hope it can live up to my expectations!
Go Tell the Bees That I'm Gone - Diana Gabaldon The final (perhaps?) book in the Outlander series. I've been reading these since 1994 now!!! This last one is even more of a chunkster than usual, so I have no clue when I'll actually finish reading it :-P
Project Hail Mary - Andy Weir My no. 1 favourite book of 2021. Of course I had to own it for my library!
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Stuart Turton I read the back blurb and was absolutely captivated! I had to know more!!!
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot - Marianne Cronin I saw this on booktok and was intrigued. It sounded right up my aisle, so I'm very keen to read it.
