The musical has been going pretty well thus far. Except at the show Thursday night, the paperclip that was holding my jingly coin belt together fell off. I re-secured it with an earring, but about 30 seconds into the scene it fell off. The coin belt of course fell, but instead it got snagged on my skirt on my skirt and was awkwardly hanging off my butt for the entire scene. It was lovely. My mom came for the latter part of the show, because she got off work late. Her words of congratualtion upon seeing the infamous gypsy scene were, "you father is going to kill you." Ironically, when my dad came tonight, he actually congratulated me and gave me flowers. He said that he was only a little pissed because Katie's role was sluttier than mine. . haha. But anwyay. . . after the show, I met Lizzy, Scott, Mike, and Aaron at Gay Denny's. When I was walking across the parking lot, some totaly creep guy started following me and saying "Come here lesbian!". *shudder* Aside from that, it was loads of fun. We had fabulous conversation, and I agree with Lizzy in that Gay Denny's particularly lived up to their name that night ;).
At the show last night, I had no wadrobe malfuntions, and the gypsy scene went really well in my opinion. Adelar did not agree and proceeded to blame everything that went wrong on my "being nervous". Silly eighth grader. The mics malfunctioning certainly put a damper on the show, although I think that everyone conspensated accordingly and it all went well. After the show last night, we did out tradition trip to Sugar Bowl, which of course led to more lovely conversation and great times. Aaron and Scott were making bets as to how long it would be before I got a boyfriend as a result of this show. tee hee. After that I walked down to Bandera's to meet my parents and my dad's friend Claudio (the one from Rome) who is visiting this weekend. He's a really cool guy. Since my parents told him about my score on the Italian SAT II, they forced me to speak Italian. Seeing as how I hadn't practiced my Italian since the SAT II, I was not too happy about that, but it surprisingly went ok and he said that I speak it very well. Yay.
Jack and John are coming to the show tonight! Yay!
