Rhys, Eclipse, and Riverside in General
I'd just like to throw a big thank you to Rhys, Lindsay, Brent, and Kim for making last night so crazy.
Eclipse was insane to begin with. Things started off slow, then Lindsay FORCED me to dance with her and Brent. But the Eclipse plays awesome music, and I got to dance to some random Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Arcade Fire, The Cure, Belle and Sebastian, and a bunch more good shit. All in all it was fun, until we lost her phone. Jump to the parking lot where Lindsay, Rhys, and I are chugging down beer after beer with the cute blonde girl I can't remember. Lindsay and I wind up at the Casbah looking in Brent's car for her phone, with no luck. Jump BACK to Eclipse, where I see Kim for the first time. Dancing with her is really weird, since she's all of three feet and I'm ten feet tall. Fun, nonetheless. So Lindsay and I get Brent and go BACK to his car at the Casbah, and finally find the phone. But Brent's car won't start. So we jump BACK to Eclipse to get Rhys and his jumper cables. This is where it gets crazy.
I JUMPED A FUCKING CAR!!! With the help of Brent, I should mention. NO SPECIAL THANKS TO RHYS, who cowered on the sidewalk thirty feet away. But we made it through, with the cellphonic help of Emo James and Lindsay's mom. It just took TWO HOURS to do!
But nothing could be more fun than sitting in the car and jamming to Belle and Sebastian, Tilly and the Wall, Peaches, the Beach Boys, Her Space Holiday, and, you guessed it...the Hedwig and the Angry Inch Soundtrack.
Then there was some random Krystal's at four in the morning with Rhys. I (amazingly) restrained myself from making a mess, but Rhys spilled his chicken bites everywhere. To wrap it all up, we went to the owner/former owner of TSI's loft downtown, which was sweet. Rhys had a hot dog (WTF?) and I talked to Kim some more. And that was that...minus Rhys and me being in a movie on the way home on the highway.
I love everyone from last night, and Happy Birthday for the last time, Rhys. Just think...next year you can actually buy your own drinks.
