I should have lots of wonderful thoughts to write and post and care about, but damned if I don't.
Wanna hear about my Crimmas?
I absolutely love Christmas with JT. It's insane. I've never given a crap about Christmas until I was with JT.
I had to work the 24th so we got to jackson around midnight. We opened our Christmas presents up at 2am (would have been a child's dream!) b/c his brother and sister in law had to catch a plane to AZ for the sis in law's parents. (YAY! Another year w/o any skirmishes!) I got everything I wanted, which was pretty amazing. JT got my pirate bling, Nanna sent me money so I got my coat, JT's mom got me the knee high black patent leather Dr. Martens (srsly), and I got the last two novels in the Fables series, a pretty neat lipgloss set from Vicki's Secret, and some other random stuff. What's funny is that I'm really not materialistic and I wasn't expecting to actually get any of this stuff, but I did so I'm happy. Kinda like the icing on the cake.
on Christmas day JT's family does a dirty Santa deal and I even got an awesome present from that. 32 Atari games! Including ET, the shittiest game evar! JT got a wasp trap, which is kinda nifty since we actually are allergic to wasp stings? (Both of us are. Reason #346 why we are meant to be) We went to see Spirit later that day and I was impressed to see that Frank Miller preserved Will Eisner's work and combined Miller's own tastes in a fairly seamless film. Tho, I'm not sure if I really like the 40s clothes with the cell phones and stuff. I just can't take the lack of continuity, plus, there would have been more advantages to Octopus if he had the cell phones and such, ya know? We finished the day with dinner at Little Tokyo (just like a Christmas Story) cause the only places open were Sonic, Waffle House, and Japanese restaurants.
It was pretty much 4 days of super rich foods. yummmmm......
I really love JT's family. They are really special to me. I love how they have make me feel welcome and they are awesome to be a part of.
Wellll... that's pretty much it. I hope New Year's ends up being a blast. It's my first one in the Burg even there I've lived here for what, almost 6 years? Ugh. Too long.
When it's drama free there's just not much to say. bah.
OH! JT's sister in law said that derby was fake and I got pissed! SOOOO pissed. Then I text all my derby friends saying that and I got some mixed responses. Buxx from Mobile said that her family thinks derby's a joke too! WTF? Of course, I haven't even told my Nanna. Why the hell can't anyone take it as a serious thing? It's not fixed, we really get hurt, and it requires athleticism. Even those fat bitches out there have more fucking endurance than the stupid housewife bitch that complains. UGHGGGHHHGHGHGHHGGHhhhh. I had no idea that there was such oppositions to derby. I wonder if ppl think it's a joke like the women's NBA. Just cause we like to look good while we beat the crap out of each other doesn't mean anything! Just means we like to make it all fun.
Sigh.
