So, my mission to get my mom addicted to Veronica Mars has finally come full circle. I got her hooked on the show when CTV started showing the reruns during the summer, and like clockwork she calls me after every episode so I can answer everything that confused her. While some of the basic stuff escaped her, it was uncanny some of the things she picked up on that even the MI.netters never caught. (For instance, how did Trina get Lynn's clothing and credit cards?) We watched "Leave it to Beaver" tonight, and it was amusing. Most frustrating moment for a die-hard fan: "Veronica has a dog?" The best part was her going "Awww" at Logan's face when he finds out Veronica turned him in (since she never believed me after the first few episodes that he was a likeable -- nay, loveable -- character) and her gasp of horror when I explained exactly what Lianne was doing as she left the apartment.
The best part is, since my parents get UPN and I don't, now I can go over every week to watch VM as it airs, yay! CTV is back to smoking crack since, after airing a summer of reruns twice a week, have stopped cold and are airing the final two episodes Sunday afternoons later this month. Because The O.C. is in the timeslot VM had on Thursday primetime. The O.C., people. There is no justice in the world.
