Back from a red-eye flight!

So, today I flew back from Seattle. This was a red-eye flight, as it departed at 11:30 PM PST and arrived at 7:15 AM EST. Maryann met me at the airport. Surprisingly, I don't feel that sleepy. Note to myself - next time I happen to go to the West Coast again I might well choose the red-eye option again.

Speaking of flights, I counted how many flights I've been on. Apparently, as of today I completed 85 flights (that does not include the two training flights I did in back in the 1990s and one private plane flight I did in New Zealand.) 30 of these flights involved some kind of border crossing and/or were transatlantic or transpacific.

This was a good trip. I didn't spent that much time in Seattle, other than in my brother's apartment downtown. Most of my time in the area was spent in Vancouver. On Saturday we went whale watching in the Richmond area, had dinner right there in Steveston, and then went to downtown Vancouver where we checked in in our hostel on Granville St. and then went clubbing. Sunday morning and afternoon were spend climbing on the Graser Grind Trail. This was very tedious but it took us just above one hour to get to the top of the mountain.
