Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, with which flat monitor should I go?

Here is my issue. I got some holiday money, and want to spend them on a good flat monitor. I am inclined towards a 19'' ViewSonic. My choices are:

Pros: Has excellent reviews, and I like the size and technical specs.
Cons: It is more expensive than the other one, and some technical specs are slightly less impressive.

Pros: Wide screen, impressive technical specs, ability to work on two documents side-by-side, cheaper than the other one.
Cons: No reviews at all, wide screen means that the height is less than the other one's, occupies more space.

Any suggestions?
