I was sitting at the IT office of the NAACP convention. Since I sit close to the door, I am forced to act as a doorman, answering questions asked by whoever drops by, no matter how irrelevant these questions are to my assignment. 99% of those questions are answered by a single sentence: "Sorry, I am just a contractor, you need to talk to the IT manager about this." So, after a while, two women barged in. Once of them asked me: "Is this the IT office?" I was too polite to answer this question with a question of my own: "Can't you read?" (as there was a large sign "Information Technology" right next to the door!) and just said "yes." Then the other lady asked me: "By the way, what is IT needed for?" This question left me stunned. Why, my Grandma is going to be 90 in two weeks, and even she knows what IT is for. Those ladies are closer in age to me than to her.
So, the question of the day is: "What is IT needed for?"
