Monday
Yesterday we came back from our romantic fall getaway. The trip went well (aside from the fact that Maryann caught a cold.) New England looks splendid at this time of the year, and it is always nice to see new places. Our B&B was really good, too. The only inconvenience was that the jacuzzi did not work.
Some highlights:
-- Flying Southwest Airlines to/from Manchester, New Hampshirewith singing flight attendants
-- A long and scenic drive from Manchester to our B&B
-- Accidentally knocking on the wrong door thinking that's our B&B
-- Great dinners, breakfasts, and afternoon tea at our B&B
-- Lots of hiking in the Pinkham Notch area
-- The little cute town of North Conway, New Hampshie
-- A scenic train ride with lots of little kids (it was a Pumpkin Patch train)
-- Playing board games in our room
-- Rainy Sunday morning
-- Scenic drive to Bridgton, Maine
-- Driving back to the airport in the rain
The kitties were really, really glad to see us back!
