life in a list
I know it's been awhile as always. But in like the past four to six month there has been so much I just haven't found the time or energy to sit and really write it all. Nor do I feel you now want to read every little detail so I've just picked out some of the great, funny, strange, new, whatever you want to call it moments.
1. Flying between mountains like giant piles of salt and having no one to freak out about it with. Then it hits me, "What the fuck have I gotten myself into?"
2. Crossing off two things on my list of things I want to some day do, snowboard and skateboard. Both times while learning I made my few falls count. And both times Alicia was there with me. Shouting " Do you have a concussion?" from the top of the bunny hill or asking if I was ok while I can't breathe or talk cause I knocked the wind out of myself.
3. Brazilians, 151, 2 1/2 hours to walk a mile and a half
4. Bonfires. Spread the word and watch them grow. Beer + Fire= Friends
5. Choco tacos and teriyaki beef jerky
6. 9 people + one vw golf = friends
7. The French
8. Teaching the French to play beirut/beer pong
9. Drunk dials, and regular conversations for hours about things no one else finds entertaining or funny.
10. Amazing food and alcohol....the only two things to spend the tons of money you're making on
11. Veltex, one stop shop for anything after 8 pm but usually not visited till 4am
12. Dance party in the garage with the girls
13. Frenching the french
14. Captian Sunshine and Lieutenant Bubble Gum of the Skittle Brigade. Two roommates who accepted all my specialness and crazy nights
15. Mango smoothies, rum and a perfect sunny sunday afternoon.
16. Night Crew for life.
17. Climbing a mountian while drunk.... in a skirt. Falling then turning around running back to the dorm, changing clothes and then coming back to continue the hike up. Now with scars for the memory.
18. Seeing Tom Brockaw slap a woman's ass. Most classic moment of life, absolutely priceless.
19. $275 on sushi and food for 5 people. Then following the bongo music outside into a bar and not finding the source of the music but shuffle board and 4 guys who graduated from JWU the year we were born.
20. Belligerent Patrick, everyone's favorite drunk. "You know what! Fuck you, you like to suck dick, oh well. Fuck you. you have curly hair so what"
21. 2 for 1
22. Never realized how much I missed my family till I saw them. I love their silliness and just all the little quirks that make them....them.
23. The return of the "Ridiculous City Girl" to her natural habitat. Driving down 35, wandering through uptown all making me fall in love with Minneapolis all over again.
24. "Oh Sun Valley" All that is needed to explain any situation to a fellow Sun Valley-er or when words just can't suffice for those who aren't.
25. Being around people who you haven't seen in months and feeling as though you've never left
26. Building E apartment 101. We've made it. The village, P4 definitely a new beginning. I was sooo not ready to come back this year, but at the same time so excited for the things I would get to do.
27. Coming back made me realize what a temporary state of life we're in. Nothing stays the same for more than a year most of the time less than that. People come, people go. Where you are one day can change the next. I can't help but want new things but at the same time crave the stability I've had most of my life. Sometimes it scares me but I just push it aside and go.
28. Drunk laser tag. Best. Idea. Ever.
30. My heart is definitely not as logical as I try to make it. Everyday is a fight to tell it what the reality of the situation is. While it yells back ",There's a chance". The funny thing is the chance came, and bad timing as always got in the way. I think I'm cursed.
29. My contemporary plated dessert class makes me squirm and giggle with excitement. I am just so hyped about the creative freedom we're given with this class. To me its like playtime.
30. I am in love with my life.
