"She did it, she did it, the dumb kid really did it!!"

Well, as far as radio stations and malls are concerned, the holidays have officially started!

It's a little too early for me, personally, since I don't usually start really doing Christmas things until about the 10th, but it's nice to start to get into the spirit.

There wasn't a whole lot of spirit yesterday, though. My day unfortunately didn't go as well as I had hoped it would. We went to my grandma's house this year instead of my aunt's house like we've done every year since I was born, which was strange. Once I got past the akwardness of that, I had more akwardness thrown at me because I ate Thanksgiving dinner on a TV tray. There was no room in the apartment for a dining room table... or a dining room.

And, instead of playing a boardgame or cards as we usually do, we sat in front of the television the whole time watching bad movies. And the worst part about it was that no one but me seemed to give a damn. I mean, Marcelo was being sympathetic and understood where I was coming from, but he hasn't been in my family for the last 18 years to know exactly how different yesterday was. I really, really hope Christmas goes better than that.

So as I said yesterday, I meant to talk about what's being going on the rest of this week, so I'll do that now.

Wednesday was an awesome day. Marcelo and I went to the mall in the morning to pick up his contacts and the ring that he got me for our anniversary that we had resized. The ring is so pretty - a real emerald with little diamonds - and now that it's sized I can wear it and flaunt it and love it! Here, I'll show you a picture, because I have one.

After we picked up what we needed we sat and had lunch in the food court. Marcelo told me that the woman working at Tom & Jerry's was flirting with him, because she kept staring at him and when she gave him his change, she rubbed his hand much more than necessary. That pissed me off, but when I looked at her she was quite fat and quite ugly, so I wasn't overly worried.

On the way back to the bus we saw that the rain/snow that came down on us on our way to the mall had changed into normal, beautiful fluffy snow! I was ridiculously excited, and my excitement only grew as the way went on because it continued to snow. And, because I have them, here are some pictures.

It looked so pretty. It's a shame it's all melted now, but I know there will be more eventually.

When my mom got home Wednesday night she and I went shopping, originally for boots for me. We ended up not going shoe shopping but went to Old Navy and bought me lots of stuff instead. I got a couple cute sweaters, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants, some tanktops and a cardigan sweater, and a "graphic tee". We also got some stuff for Marcelo, like some thermal shirts and a nice big warm coat. Now he won't have to freeze to death at work, poor thing.

And now I'm jumping right past yesterday, since I went through it already, and onto today!

This morning I woke up at 8:00 to go to the doctor. This is the second bladder infection I've had in the last 3 months, and it's really kind of irritating. I hope I'm not one of those people who are prone to urinary infections, because that would really, really suck. I have medicine for it now though, so hopefully it won't be a problem for much longer.

After the doctor we went to shop for shoes. We went to Shoe Carnival and were surprised to see that people from KissFM were there. That definitely made the shopping experience a little more interesting. They were giving away prizes to people who could answer trivia questions and right before we left they gave away a Gamecube. We didn't get it. But I ended up buying a pair of dressy-casual shoes (shoes that are good to wear with dress pants that aren't all stiletto and pointy and retarded) as well as a pair of suede boots. I LOVE the boots. I've never owner a pair of boots in my life, so it's about time. I also bought stuff to spray on them so they're water-resistant. I'm happy.

We went to lunch at Denny's after that because we were hungry and it was close by. We got mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken strips as appetizers but I got a Belgian waffle. Not a bad combination, actually. When we finished lunch we went to change Marcelo's check so he could pay his friend Oscar for the car he's buying from him, and then drove him to work.

And from there, well, I've done absolutely nothing. I was supposed to go out with Monique, Jen and Angela, but they didn't end up doing anything. Maybe it was better that way, because I didn't really feel very well anyway. My eyes were burning and tearing like crazy for no reason, and I had a really bad headache. I was also frustrated at the fact that my cable wouldn't turn on, and that when it finally did, America's Next Top Model wasn't on anyway. But I think I can manage to let that go.

Well right now Marcelo is home and we're gonna go eat pizza and play The Sims 2, so I'm outa here. G'nite!
