I'm so sorry to hear about your injuries...ouch! Hope your toe and nail get better soon.

I absolutely love that you and your husband do these incredibly relaxing getaways, it's what I hope to do myself when I find someone.

Orrr...just do it on my own!

I know Punga Cove! I did a camping trip with some friends in the late 80s, and wanted very much to stop there for longer. I have a photo of a small painted dinghy nestled against a flax bush. I think I rmember passing Furneaux Lodge too. Vowed to return to that area, and I still have yet to.
One day I will take a leisurely trip around the South Island. I do regret never having done so when I was a free and easy student.
