Bass bag...

So, I made this bag for one of my guy friends who's going away to university soon. It's his first year, he's doing a music major and is in love with his double bass (which he let me name - Basselbee!), so I made him a sweet book bag to carry around his music folders/books/random paraphanelia in. :) It looks a lot like a man-purse, but he loves it anyway...

Okay, so the outer part of the bag is made out of this flannel denim-like material, and plaid flannel squares. It came like that, so not a lot of work was involved in making that. No credit goes to me. The strap is made out of some funky coloured flannel that I had lying around...and the inside is just plain white flannel. It's basically a flannel bag. :P The appliqué is made out of this felt-like material that I made part of a bear out of at one point. It's felt backing with some loopy stuff on top. Looks nice. The fret board and bridge (for all you non-bandies, the black bits) I used just regular, run of the mill black felt. Hope you enjoyed looking at it. It took about two hours to make, including finding an image to make the bass out of and getting it right. :)
