Researching this paper is giving me the urge to write a separate little essay detailing, very thoroughly, why it's very irritating when people exclaim that you can't possibly be attracted to the same sex if you're attracted to someone of the opposite sex. Or have a relationship with one, or screw one. Come on, admit it. You're really straight, right?

I always react pretty civilly whenever this is asserted, because getting snippy over it feels somewhat like getting snippy with a 60-year-old for being a bit racist (note that this is about as little credit as I can give anyone), but seriously, it does drive me a little nuts.
